How can I book a game?

Reservations can be made by online booking. Available dates can be accessed by clicking on the Details button. You can choose from the available dates, then you have to fill out the booking form and then make the reservation. To confirm the reservation, we can aks for an online deposit of 3,000 HUF, which will be deducted from the price of the game.

Is it necessary to reserve games in advance?

Yes, it is highly recommended to reserve the games in advance, as Locked Room Budapest is typically busy on the given days. In many cases bookings arrive only on the days of the game, so after a couple of hours, the date may not be available.

What is the language of the games?

All games can be played in English, moreover the main language at Locked Room is English. Although the vast majority of tasks do not require any language skills, it may be necessary to know English at basic level. Instructions and hints from the game master are provided in the requested language. We do not charge extra fees for English game hosting.

How soon prior to our appointment time should we arrive?

Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled time, as we begin sessions promptly at their scheduled start times.

What is the price of the game?

Our room prices depend on the size of the group. A rounded "per person" price is shown on each page of game. The final group price can be seen while booking a game. For better understanding we show the prices in Euro too, but on the spot we can accept HUF only.

What are the types of payment?

When booking to Locked Room Budapest, you may be required to pay an advance payment of 3000 HUF, which can be paid using an online bankcard or PayPal account, or in cash on-site paid in advance. We accept cash and bankcard payment on the spot.

Are the games public or private?

All the bookings in Locked Room Budapest are private bookings. Even if your team is just 2 or 3 persons, we will not fill it with strangers. You have the game for yourselves.

I did not manage my online payment, what can I do?

If the payment is canceled or the payment expires, the booking will be unsuccessful and a missed reservation will be displayed on the screen. The system locks the given timeslot (appointment) for 30 minutes after each reservation is started. If you experience such a problem, please click on the restart your reservation link and you can try to checkout again.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly request a minimum 24 hours advance notice of your cancellation. We will then reschedule your session for another date, or issue a credit for future use. All purchases are non refundable.

We booked 3 rooms, but we only want to play 2. What to do?

No problem! Just inform us at least 24 hours before the games and the payment will be based on the modified numer of games. Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund the fees you paid for a cancelled game in case of a late notification.

We booked for 6, but one of us can not be there. What is now?

No problem! Just inform us at least 24 hours before the date of game and the payment will be based on the modified group size. Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund the fee of a no-show person when we receive late notification.
